Constructionline UK Register of pre-qualified construction services.

Constructionline is a government led body specifically for the construction and its related service industries.  The Constructionline scheme's database is accessed by thousands of organisations looking for contractors with proven capabilities of their financial standing, customer references and good health and safety record.  Further details can be viewed on the Constructionline website at www.constructionline.co.uk

 
The Constructionline scheme is being adopted by a number of Troop's existing customers as a pre-qualification system for all their contractors; it was therefore necessary to obtain Constructionline registration in order to be able to re-tender for existing contracts when they come up for renewal.  It is hoped also that being registered with Constructionline will generate new business for Troops.

   We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Griffiths as the Companies new Business Development Manager. 

Steve served his apprenticeship with Woodward's of Formby in the Massey Ferguson Section then moved within the Local Industrial Construction and FLT sectors gaining extensive experience with Industrial, Plant and Fork lift truck applications.
 
Steve then joined Milford Motors Liverpool, Perkins Distributor, in 1977 as Technical Sales Engineer eventually becoming General Manager. In 1998 he joined Perkins Engines at Peterborough as Part of the Distributor Sales and Development Management team  Looking after accounts in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia - later becoming part of the Business Development team within the C.A.T / Perkins  World Wide Parts Distribution Centre at Irlam Manchester. Joining Troops in March this year

Troop's Go Marching On

The long established (1867) Marine & Industrial Diesel Gas & Dual Fuel Engineering Company, James Troop, whose head office is in Liverpool, is pleased to announce the following changes to the Board of Directors from the 1st of March 2002

The current chairman John Troop, who has served as Chairman for the past 30 years and worked for the Company since 1945, is to step down from this role but will still retain his seat on the Board.

Bob Troop will be taking over the role of Chairman from the 1st March 2002 having worked for the Company now for 40 years, his successor, as Managing Director will be Brian Whyte, who was the Sales & Commercial Director. Brian Whyte brings to the Company a wealth of knowledge from the Diesel Engine market, having held senior positions in several of the worlds leading Diesel Engine Manufacturers.

Alan Gelling becomes Deputy Managing Director as well as continuing in his role as Financial Director and Company Secretary.

The Board throughout this current year has also restructured and merged all its departments and management teams within James Troop. Brooks Diesel Services Ltd became a division of James Troop last November and Gen Power Ltd becomes a Division from April this year.

This restructure will enable us to take on the future within the new boundaries of the higher technological world that is before us. From the 1st March we will now be marketing the Company under one banner, namely: -

James Troop & Co Ltd Technical Services.
